Brainrot Autobattler Units & Evolution
Units are the fighters you buy and field in Brainrot Autobattler. This page explains how the unit system works based on the official game description. (Specific unit names and stats are discovered in-game as the game evolves.)
How Buying Units Works
During a run you encounter shops where you spend your resources to buy units. Each unit joins your team and fights automatically in the next battle. Team size, cost and rarity shape your strategy from the first shop to the final boss.
Evolution
The description's key mechanic: "evolve them into stronger forms." In autochess tradition, evolution usually works by combining copies of the same unit — a 1-star unit plus another copy becomes a 2-star (stronger) unit. Evolving is how you keep your early units relevant in late-run fights.
Building a Balanced Team
- Start with cheap units to fill your board early.
- Prioritize units that share traits so synergies trigger.
- Evolve your carry unit first — one strong evolved unit beats three weak ones.
- Adapt: a shop can offer a unit that completes a powerful trait; decide when to pivot.
